International Business Interview Report

During the second part of the semester there is the opportunity to earn extra credit on the final exam. To earn extra credit, you will interview someone working in an international business. You will ask the at least three specific questions that related to our course content:

  1. International Competitive Strategy
  2. Marketing Internationally
  3. Global Operations and Supply Chain Management

The interview may take place in person or via telephone (or skype), and it should not take more than thirty minutes. Please type your interview report on a Word document to be approximately 2 pages double-spaced.

Your assignment should note the following at the top of the page:

  1. Your name and class
  2. Date, time, and location of interview
  3. At least three specific interview questions Some potential questions are:
    1. Question 1: What type of competitive strategy does your business use?
    2. Question 2: What specific product, promotion/brand, and pricing adjustments are necessary to market your business abroad?
    3. Question 3: What role do particular countries have in the production process in your global supply chain operations?

You will be graded on application of class topics, depth of comparative analysis between business in the home country and at least one foreign country, structure presenting and connecting ideas, and correct grammatical writing style. Should follow the following structure to have at least 4 to 5 paragraphs as follows:

  1. Introduction
    1. Introduce the purpose and the international business that you will analyze. State the main ideas that you will describe in the following paragraphs.
  2. Main idea 1
  3. Main idea 2
  4. Main idea 3
  5. Summarize your preceding ideas and draw a conclusion.

The example of the extra credit first page is following.
